Margot Sinclair / Achilles

Margot Sinclair is a California-born, Michigan-raised, NYC-based contemporary artist. Her practice involves mixed media across oil, acrylic, graphite, and thread. Through this combination of mediums, Margot is able to create palpable texture in each of her works 

— while neutral in palette, they are still able to add depth and dimension to a space. 

Achilles exists as part of the Blueprint series — a collection of abstract maps, each titled with the name of an Edith Piaf song. Every stroke, mark and thread has intention and meaning, but unlike typical maps, interpretation is up to the viewer. Signed on verso.
